HOPS & HORSES OKTOBERFEST RIDE 2021 TBD

A Trot & Taste of Libertytown's Farm Breweries

2021 DATE TO BE DETERMINED

Fundraiser to benefit the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department

A horseback trail ride through fabulous Frederick County farmland with stops at two of Libertytown's renowned Farm Breweries: The Milkhouse Brewery at Stillpoint Farm  and Frey's Brewing Company, to enjoy a tasting of the proprietors unique offerings. Horses, ponies & mules welcome; English & Western riders welcome!

Rides will be walk/trot in groups of 15 or fewer. Rides begin at 1 p.m. with staggered start times (1 pm, 2 pm or 3 pm) for small groups; please select your start time at registration. Rides will be between 1.5 hours and 2 hours. Routes will include stream and hardtop road crossings.

Upon arrival at the breweries, riders will enjoy the tasting ("Brewer's Choice") while mounted and will be served "at the stirrup" by volunteers. The breweries will be open to the public. It is expected that horses will be well-behaved; if your horse is not steady in groups or crowds,  or is not able to stand quietly, then this is probably not the ride for you.

All proceeds from this ride will go directly to the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department, which has been greatly impacted by the COVID-cancellations of virtually all of its fundraisers.

Participants must be of legal age to register; ID may be required on site.

COVID Considerations will be in place, and will be sent with registration packet.

Registration: $75 per rider

One non-mounted guest allowed per rider: $45

Due to COVID, space is limited and reservations will be capped.
